Dinner for two - 5 tips for a romantic dinner at home!

Valentine's Day, you either love it or hate it! But even if you're not a fan, an evening with someone you love is always a good idea. And you don't even have to leave the house. With these 5 tips, you can set the table for Valentine's Day in a festive and original way—right in your own home.

1.      1. Make the table small and intimate
Do you have a large dining table? Then only set the area where you'll be sitting together. Fold your tablecloth smaller or use two placemats. Decorate the rest of the table with candles, flowers, or beautiful serving dishes for a warm, cozy atmosphere.

2.      2. Color doesn't matter
We don't like clichés. Red or pink are easy, and of course, they're the colors of love. But how about coral, green, purple, or classic white? Think outside the box! You can create a romantic table setting with any color.

3.       3. Cloth napkins complete the look
We can't emphasize this enough, but choose linen napkins. Beautiful fabric napkins add that extra touch of love to your table. Fold them into the shape of a heart or a love letter, or tie them together with a flower, a small gift, a note, or your favorite photo of the two of you.

4.  4. Candlelight to the max
Candlelight is essential on Valentine's Day. Combine tall candlesticks with tea lights or alabaster lanterns for a playful and warm effect. More is more, especially on this day of love. This girl is on fire!

5.      5. Flowers, but different
Yes, perhaps a bit clichéd, but without flowers, there's no Valentine's Day. It doesn't have to be roses, though. Think tulips, ranunculus, or carnations – perfect for a fresh, spring-like atmosphere. Tip: buy your flowers a day early to avoid the high prices on February 14th.

Spread love or spread butter – both is a great idea!
